Frequently Asked Questions

q: do I have to pay for this zine?
a: nope! it's a completely free fanworks zine.
q: is this a print zine?
a: since this is the first DPxDC zine, we decided to just have it as a free PDF that anyone can download.
q: how do I sign up as a contributor?
a: check out our links tab for all important links
q: why are you making a zine?
a: the DPxDC fandom has grown to insane levels and we thought it would be cool to give people a chance to showcase all of their talent and works in a zine.
q: Will the zine extend to the wider DC universe?
a: Yes, the zine includes the wider DC Universe! Do you want to write Booster Gold? Wonder Woman? Martian Man Hunter? Please do! We’d love to see characters from across the DC and DP universes.
q: Will the zine be sectioned off by hero?
a: This is unlikely, though grouping may naturally happen as the final layout is arranged! The index and the top of fics will list any ships contained in that work.
q: Is there a theme for the media involved with this?
There is no theme beyond ‘worlds collide’ and the crossover. As this is the first zine for this fandom, we wanted to keep things open! If you need something to focus on, lean into the worlds collide, but really we just want to show off the passion this fandom has and make something together.
q: Can writers and artists team up?
Yes they can! There’s no obligation to do so, but after the contributors are chosen, there will be a chance for writers and artists to share ideas, team up, and ‘resubmit’ themselves as a group pitch to the mods (for tracking purposes).
q: Will the zine specify the levels of horror or gore allowed?
At this moment, we do not plan to limit the creators in any way. We will though be putting anything that would be marked as M or E for violence on Ao3 behind a warning title, so readers will not stumble into such content unaware.
q: If we participate, will we be given formatting information?
Of course! Writers will have standard style guidelines to follow, which will be checked during the beta processes and artists will be given template files to work off of. The mods are here to help and answer any questions during the process!
q: Even if I am not chosen to contribute, would I be able to get the zine later?
Yes! The zine will be available for free to download once completed! There will be an option to donate to a charity in lieu of a purchase price.
q: Can you also make physical merch and a physical copy of the zine available for purchase?
Unfortunately, we will not be able to offer the opportunity to create and buy physical merchandise for the project this time around. If the response the final project receives from the fandom is positive and shows interest for more fanzine projects, we would absolutely consider the inclusion of physical merch bundles for future projects! When we have our final list of creators, please consider checking them out for any merch they may personally sell!
q: Can contributors receive a physical copy of the zine at the end of the project?
Sadly, we are not equipped this time around to produce any physical copies of the fanzine, even for contributors. We welcome any fans and viewers of the final zine to seek a way to print a physical copy of the fanzine pdf for themselves, though! We just ask, of course, that those doing so do not then turn around to sell printed copies of the zine.

Meet the Mods

DisillusionedDanny
Co-Head Mod: Social Media Manager, Organization and Layout Editor
Dis has never run a zine before but hey, they were the Editor in Chief of their college art's magazine so that makes them kinda qualified? Right? They enjoy Tim Drake, Jazz Fenton being a badass brain surgeon and the always amazing and chaotic Dead Tired (Danny/Tim) ship. (Although they are a multishipper and have a ship list longer than they are tall)Their favorite DPxDC trope is Danny helping Tim on his BrucequestYou can find out more about Dis hereEctoentity
Co-Head Mod: Handling Organization, Discord Manager, and Creative Coordinator
Ectoentity is a longtime writer who hasn't been able to think of much other than DPxDC for the last couple of years. It's hard not to love a fandom with as much family angst and potential for wacky hijinks as this one. They are new to zines but are eager to help out where they can.
Their favorite DPxDC trope: Gotham being super haunted and somewhat sentientYou can find their work hereNightshiftshenanigans
Writing Mod
Ciara is more than pleased to say “howdy y’all” as we head into this project together! She has only recently begun partaking in zines (Heat Wave and Triple Treats) as a contributor, but is incredibly excited by the prospect of being a part of the magic from both sides. She adores Demon Twins, Dead on Main (Danny/Jason), and when the authors in this fandom make her sob.
Her favorite DPxDC trope is Jason adoring constellation freckled Danny. You can read her works hereClockwaysArts
Art and Merch Mod
Clock has been an artist in several zines and run many creative projects. This feral fandom has them by the throat and they're happy to be drawing and writing for it! They fell into Dead on Main (Danny/Jason) and haven't quite crawled out yet, but also enjoys Danny/Dick, Danny/Tim, and, unexpectedly, Danny/Wally.
Their favorite DPxDC trope is mostly ghostly Danny. You can see their work here or read it here!Halfagone
Writing Mod
Halfagone is an avid writer, feral reader, and fellow moderator for other DPxDC spaces. She doesn't know how she got here but more the merrier! Although a multi-shipper at heart, she has a soft spot for Tim/Danny and Cass/Danny.
Her favorite DPxDC trope is "Danny Fenton Is Bruce Wayne's Biological Child", but she's always been a bit feral so maybe it's best not to ask.You can find her works here.
